Mandy Farms Subdivision in Morehead City, North Carolina is a family oriented community in the heart of Carteret County. Mandy Farms is centrally located on Hwy. 70, between the Croatan National Forest and historic Beaufort.
Mandy Farms consists of more than 450 Single Family homes and is conveniently located. Also within Mandy Farms, you will find the Sports Center and two Excel Early Learning Centers. Right around the corner is Medical Park Pharmacy where you find true small town customer service along with Carteret General Hospital and other medical facilities. Mandy Farms is only a five minute drive (if you drive the speed limit) to the beautiful Crystal Coast Beaches and the Island of Bogue Banks. Bogue Banks is home to Fort Macon State Park, The North Carolina Aquarium, The Country Club of the Crystal Coast and much more.
The Morehead City Schools are fabulous and are ranked at the top in the state of North Carolina. All of the schools are located within 5 miles of Mandy Farms and the Primary, Elementary and Middle Schools are
within 2 miles. Cartere
t Community College is also just a couple of miles away. Many of the community parks are close by, Swinson's Park located off of Country Club Road, includes soccer and baseball fields, and a playground for the kids and Shevans Park is just a few miles down by the Morehead City waterfront.
Mandy Farms is the kind of neighborhood where you look out the kitchen window and see your neighbors walking their dogs, riding their bikes and playing with their children in the yards. Mandy Farms is a true Community full of friendly people and all in a beautiful setting. Bradford Pear Trees. Mimosas and Crepe Myrtles in all colors fill the yards.
There is a lot of shopping and dining to be done in Morehead City and all just a few minutes from Mandy Farms. One of my favorite places to shop is Tassels (more shoes and bags than any woman could ever want), located in the Pelletier Harbor Shops along with Lynette's Two, and Ioannie's Bar & Grill (I am addicted to their Alamo Burger). Beach Bum's Pizza on the Morehead City Waterfront is, in my opinion, the best pizza in town. If you are craving Seafood, which is not too hard to find around here, Captain Bill's, also on the waterfront, is a great choice. While waiting for your dinner, you can step our on the deck and feed the birds or enjoy watching the otters play.

Amy,
Nice post about Mandy Farms. I love the pictures at the bottom of your blog posts. I've been going to the Outer Banks for the last several summers and always can't wait to get back.

A well deserved honor!
Hi Amy - I think this is my first time visiting your blog. Shame on me because we are practically neighbors! I did not know about Mandy Farms but I do tend to get out that way to go surfing in the summer. Looks like a great place and now I know to look for it next time I am on the Crystal Coast.
Congratulations on the feature!

Thank You all for stopping by and checking out Mandy Farms.
Sally - Bob gave me some tips and pointed me in the direction of Brad's Blog:
How to Create a Blog Post for Customers and Search Engines,
Put that together with absolutely loving the area that I live and work in, and the education I have gotten from reading posts by bloggers like you...and I am finally getting "IT". Thanks for the nice comment.
Great post you made me want to move right now!
Amy, Wow! I like to think I've taught you all you know, but we both know when it comes to blogging and technology, you're my teacher. Will you please teach me how to do these localism posts? I have some great ideas but I don't know how to make it work. HELP!
And this was featured in the ActiveRain Network why?????
Now, don't get me wrong... this is a GREAT localism post.....
This stumps me.....
I have always seen Membership helps and real estate rants featured....
I have NEVER seen a market report OR community advertizement featured....
Strange..........
I guess there is a first time for everything........
=-/
I guess this is encouragment for the membership to do better localism posts, hmm?
OK..I get it......
=-)
BTW..... THIS IS what a localism post SHOULD look like.... hehehehe........... =-)
GREAT JOB, AMY !!!!!
Very nice!
I grew up in Swansboro and spent a lot of time in Moorehead City... sure miss the culture and the seafood at Tony's Sanitary Restaurant! Never knew why the "sanitary" part but love the hushpuppies, flounder, coleslaw and sweet iced tea!
You brought me back home if only in my mind!!!! I love Billings, however and will go "toes up" here.
I should do a "localism post" here for all to read! Great idea!!!
Thanks again!
Marian, I promise to help you ASAP.
Alexander, You had me worried with that first sentence!? Thank you for the compliment.
Jeff, I can't believe that I forgot to mention the Sanitary. We have the best sweet tea here in North Carolina! I used to work in Yellowstone Nat'l Park, so I miss your area :-( I'll be back to visit soon.
A great post Amy. I grew up In Goldsboro and New Bern and your post brings back many fond memories of places that I have visited including the Sanitary restaurant!
My father-in-law who passed away in April of 2007 was pretty much a legend on the Bogue Inlet Pier. A few months before he died the owners of the pier gave him the bench that he sat on when fishing on the pier and it is still sitting under the magnolia tree at his home in New Bern.
Amy, You came up in my Google Alerts - not my Active Rain browsing. Thought you would like to know that. Good work.
Oops that last comment #23 was from me - guess I wasn't logged in.
Amy great post! Mandy Farms sounds like a nice place to live.
